The Story of Michelle Murphy
A single mother of two kids in Oklahoma woke up one morning with a big lump on her head and a hank in her leg, and her baby was gone. She found him in the kitchen in a pool of blood, and he had been effectively decapitated. The cops interrogated her for nine hours without an attorney, without a parent. Then they claim she confessed, although it's dubious as to whether she ever said anything. I think that they got her to finally say, because they told her if you don't say something, we're never letting you out of here and you're never going to see your other kid again.
