Biden's Decision Is Consequential, and I Think It's Regrettable
I think the decision is quite consequential, and I think it's frankly regrettable. Merrick Garland was appointed Attorney General one of the reasons I advocated that. And so I think exactly the same judgment that I trust Merrick Garland to make on the merits of the prosecution, I actually think he showed today. The consequences will be that the person making the decision is somebody who, while a distinguished federal prosecutor and international prosecutor has less prestige.
