Colonizing Giant Stars

Giant stars could be the great empires of future humanity. They simply have so much more power output and so much more mass. The bigger ones are already gushing off plants worth a matter from their sheer immense internal fusion and heat. And while I think most systems would prefer to keep their excess hydrogen around for long term use, I would imagine that Earth and our Sun would be in a very good position to stockpile at least several thousand solar masses worth of hydrogen.
