Listening to Sad Pieces of Music

When a singer has a cracking or breaking voice, people hear that as grief faring. People experience ambiborent emotions when they listen to sad music. While the volunteers thought the music expressed sadness, they recorded feeling positive feelings such as romantic and sensuous when they actually heard it. Researchers concluded that listening to sad music could elicit pleasurable feelings.
