Apple stopped selling the home pod and then replaced it with the same thing that's just very slightly different, which they would do normally. There must have been something inside that they didn't want to keep producing for another, you know, five years or so. Maybe supply chain reasons. I'm sure there were some component. But they didn't need to stop selling it. They always would just sell it up until they revised the product.
