Eccentric exercise is the flip side of a lot of movements you're already doing. It can have big benefits for your general fitness and overall health. A 20 19 randomized con study compared older adults doing traditional exercises against a group doing eccentric exercises, found the eccentric group showed a 38 % improvement in leg strength.
