The Risk of a Misplaced Gift Card Will Wreak a Big Loss
It would be easy to be tempted by all of the seemingly free points you could accrue, buying gift cards and then reselling them. Some of the danger is inherent when the positive outcome is a 1 or 2% profit and the negative outcome is a loss of 100%. One misplaced gift card will wipe out the profit from lots and lots of that activity. It's definitely a type of game that's played at Razor-thin margins.
