Bluegrass - I Like the Banjo, I Want to Know It Through Them
The banjo was a laughing stock when i started playing it. It's always through the banjo that i learn about music. I can't tell you how many people have come up to me, great jas musicians. Banjo was part of jaz even before blue grass. You run into somebody and they say oh, banjo, JAZ! But we forget about that occasionally. Sure, banjo was in jaz from the beginning. Well, i'll tell you one thing, when you strum a banjo, it's loud.
