The Border Between Sensation and Rationality

Tilesia and Campanella deal with this border between sensation and rationality. If we can't trace precise borders, for instance, what do we eat if we can't divide plants exactly? And one of the main problems in that it's discussed in many Renaissance texts is how do we bridge this border? So we are trying to bridge a gap which can't be bridged.
