Why Is It So Hard to Learn Stuff About Educational Psychology?

Self-concept in high school had stronger effects on long-term occupational aspirations and educational attainment five years after high school graduation then did IQ or intrinsic and utility value motivation. It's one of the oldest constructs in psychology apparently it goes back to Socrates. The literature was a bit of a mess until 1976 like there was plenty of literature but was really disorganized so Chevlson et al suggested a hierarchical model which is basically what I've been talking about or mentioning at the beginning.
