i think our culture has interfered with our sense of taste, and in negative ways. i imagine that a a weatherspoon pub is a little bit like an apple bee's here in the united states where the menus areixically the same. And you get that sort of nothing really feels special or original about the experience when you're there because you could have it down the street. You might say that those kinds of food experiences in our culture, the sort of faster food or corporate food culture, has the same effect that language has, off homogenizing things in unhelpful ways.
