Nicha was thinking a lot about this dialogue when he's writing about things like the ascetic ideal. He doesn't seem to me to be he's certainly not embodying a kind of stoic ideal. So there's the tension between the dramatic elements, between the way socrates comes across and behaves. And i think that sort of tension is something we seen arise many times in the platonic dialogues"
