There's a question about where patriarchy originated from. It doesn't seem to be something that's biologically programmed or evolutionary programmed into people, it seems to come out of society as time goes on. One leading hypothesis for some time has been that the thing that changed was agriculture. And what's proposed here is an alternative driver is that the patriarchy was driven by power. Not by needs within a family, the needs to raise a farm or raise cattle or whatever. But very much something that's been society imposed by those in power at the top, by the elites.
