Type 2 Diabetes - Is There a Connection Between Diabetes and Diabetes?
Dysbiosis is linked to increased risk of chronic diseases like cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Do we have much data on other medications like statins and beta blockers and commonly prescribed drugs in terms of whether they're affecting the microbiome? So we don't have granular data on an individual drug by drug basis, but there was one study where they took literally hundreds of drugs and analyzed them to see are there any changes to the gut.? Not good or bad, just in general. It's a change your gut and they found that close to 30% of the drugs in the study did induce some sort of change in the gut.
