In May 2020, as Black Lives Matter took the global stage, my 32 year old nephew was murdered walking to a friend's house. Within four months of my nephew being killed, my beloved mother passed away unexpectedly. My brother, who was in his 40s, had a stroke and then went into cardiac arrest and spent the next 10 weeks in the ICU. And within a month of him coming home, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So all to say, I don't even know what you call that. Like that sort of compound, there is a name, right? It's compound loss, compound grief. But it just felt like the world, the world as I knew it
