Movie Review - An Owls Do Cry

Janet frame's life became defined by her struggles with a mental illness. She was like a local hero, cult literary figure who was kind of er elusive and unknowable. After she died there was controversy about the liberties taken in her autobiography. The movie is good at not being miserable and tramatic, if that makes sense. But amongst the things i find most impressive about this movie is how sort of matter of fact it is able to recount everything.
