Do the States Have the Right to Decide?
The states, having formed the federal government via the constitution, and being sovereign, have the right to decide for themselves to judge whether there has been an infraction. So that's my review of these documents. And let me anticipate one objection that may still be in people's minds. Well, didn't the quotum, quote, civil war overturn all this? But beyond that, no act of violence undoes the compact theory of the union.
