He started on sax at age 10, playing Beatles and Stones covers in a school band, then became obsessed with jazz theory as a teenager, tracing how jazz harmony flows through other musical styles. Sax playing eventually took a backseat to studying and practicing medicine, but he has passed his love of music on to his kids. (And he still sounds pretty great, in my opinion! ~K)
