With that perspective, looking at price only, you can trade everything. You don't have to be an expert in a damn thing. I had someone challenging me the other day, a very bright person challenging me on my Bitcoin understanding - which is not super high, but it's decent enough. And trend following has to have what fundamental understanding about those markets to trade those markets because they're baked into them already.
