The Importance of Safety in Space Flight

Himmer: I think we should all want to slow down or take a pause. Since this has happened, scientists have made like over a hundred changes to the shuttle. Once you throw in that profit motive, once you're worried about shareholders and stakeholders, it does seem like the opportunities for catastrophe do go up significantly. Himmer: It's still in its early days, but I do worry about the introduction of that profit.
