The Separation of Church and State

The first amendment is the freedom to practice religion. The separation of church and state is an explicitly Christian doctrine. Its sphere sovereignty is that the government must must obey God. And so these are two different institutions and spheres, but both under the authority of Jesus Christ,. One is not supposed to control the other or engage in the duties of the other.
