Should You Always Warn the Client That You Don't Have Experience?

There's an automatic incentive for the seller in a fixed price relationship to deliver high quality as quickly as possible. Fixed pricing solves this problem immediately and then it becomes a question of like, oh, but what about scope creep? So if you're not billing by the hour, then this goes away in large part. If you are paying someone by the hour to do something that they've told you they've never done before and you want them to do it anyway, I would strongly recommend that you get some kind of reasonable estimate out of them because it could be orders of magnitude different.
