Rights of Nature in the United States

Rights of nature has worked in both tribal court and district courts in the united states. Most folks, if they've heard about rights of nature at all, it's not because of how the idea has played out in the us but because of how it took hold in ecuador. The constitutionnec Ecuador has this acknowledgment that nature has rights,. something that doesn't exist another another constitutions in two thousand eight ecuador became the first country in the world to wright rights of nature into its constitution. We're just now starting to see rulings come out of ecuador that are shaping how the whole world understands rights of nature.
