Are You Alarmed if the Lord's Prayer Is No Longer Said at the Beginning of Parliament?
In the Australian Parliament, they always open by saying the Lord's Prayer. Part of me likes that, but I also do worry that it simply becomes an instance of civil religion. And I don't want Christianity to be performed because of how it looks on camera or if it's disassociated from genuine and deep piety... But forcing a Muslim school to hire a gay atheist as its principle is not going to end well.
