The Curtains of the Hungarian Plain

When we look at who was buried in those curtains with fancy and expensive grave goods, it was almost always men. It's really hard to escape the conclusion that Yomnaya society was focused around male lineages,. father-son inheritance, bonds between brothers, and warrior bands of young men. Those at the top, almost all men, got the big funeral monuments, they got the weapons and riches in their graves.
