Galileo and Kepler never met, but they did correspond over their mutual acceptance of the heliocentric model of our solar system. Their dispositions stood in stark contrast with each other's approach to science. While Kepler had almost become a Lutheran minister, making him quite literally the churchboy of the pair; Galileo had always been a heretical type. Small wonder it was Galileo who famously clashed with the Catholic Church.
