Native People's History of the Oregon Trail

At this point in time, native people were really just kind of living their lives. Nations like the cheyenne um used what's called winter counts for history. They would take buffalo hide and paint an image on it that represented each year. And they'd use those images to jump start telling their history of that particular year. This is also a time when the people,. native people, were processing like, massive trama m and were, you know, continuously picking themselves back up and trying to build new futures...for themselves and their communities.
