The Differences Between ABA and DBT for Autism
The most studied, improved intervention for autism is typically called ABA. It's sometimes referred to as discrete trial intervention. As kids become more extroverted themselves, there are a whole lot of variations on ABA and floor time. DBT is more or less a version of mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy. So we're integrating various skills having to do with self-awareness into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
