Are We Wire to Join, Ge Join Games and Get Status?
Young men from socio-economically deprived backgrounds are far more likely to use violence. They often end up playing games in gangs or islamista groups, for example. And it's not about money - it's about status. In a lot of these environments, the islamist group or the street gang is offering the most status an any other game you might want to play. That's why people play those games. We're not going to get rid of the problems that the gangs and islemis groups, terroris groups and create until we start am actually offering people from socio econt derive backgrounds games to play that offer real status.
