The Importance of Onboarding During an Internship

When you're an intern, there's some sort of expectation right for you to onboard in a certain period of time. So how do you think that went for your internship? And I guess what's the difference now that you look back as a full-time employee? It took me a while to even get familiar with the systems at my current company because it was such an established company. Even during my first six month rotation, my manager was like, this rotation is honestly just for you to get used to the company. He was so right because even during that rotation, it took me like four months till I was comfortable and then I only have two months left on this team.
