The EPA's Proposed Regulations on PFAS in Drinking Water

There are 10 states that have final or interim drinking water limits for some of the PFAS chemicals covered by the EPA's proposed regulation. Because the federal limit sets a floor, those states will have to lower their limits to align with what the EPA is recommending if the regulations become final. But even though the maximum contaminant levels or MCLs only apply to these six PFAS, the Safe Drinking Water Act is a technology driven statute.
