The Importance of Scripturally Sound Doctrine

I've been hearing a lot of conversations around things like Reliance on guardian angels to to keep us safe and and to get us through this life. Well, where does that idea come from? I have been reading the Bible for 12 years and I have also researched this specific topic actually when I was exposed to this Doctrine that I was a guard that I was an archangel What do I do every time I hear these false doctrines that people are being led astray from or led astray by? I start searching Everywhere to try to find is this actually scripturally sound doctrine could I possibly be an archangel because dang that sounds good, right? That sounds way better than the only way
