I Was Deficient in Niacin and I Was Taking Supplements to Help My Mood
One of the first things I take for mood is 5-HGP. It's this thing that increases serotonin. And it depends on if you have a certain genetic variant for this TPH2 gene, which converts tryptophin to 5-HCP. My functioning of that enzyme is not working well for a couple of reasons. For me, there's basically three co-factors to that enzyme: calcium, niacin, and folate.
