How to Block a Patient With a Previous Nerve Injury
Hassan: What if he had normal functioning lungs but has a history of previous nerve injury with numbness and tingling in his hand at baseline? Hassan: I would prefer not to block someone with a previous nerve injury. The average risk according to the ASA close claims is roughly in the range of 0.01% risk of nerve damage.
