This week i want to dive into the stoic con on of god, because there's a tremendous amount of confusion about this out there. The atheists and theists both tend to understandably interpret the stoic conception of god from their pre existing world view. So what is the stoic god? What would we put in the is list? Let's see if we can come up with such a list. We would include transcendent, supernatural, anthropomorphic, aristotle's prime mover. And finally, something that the modern stoics like to refer to, the stoicgod as a metaphor.
