There's a lot of sprawl, like use the word at the gataler, where companies would be using different kinds of data bases. And what we have taken an approach is that we are going to embrace all these tools and all these different repositories and work uniformly across them. Only under these circumstances should an application be able to quirry them and siral taxter of the diversity that heterogenity in a very uniform way. The key insight here is, because we are focused on these data repositories thit is like a small set of grammers, riht, very small set ofgrammers that we have to be effective for.

One of the most challenging aspects of building a data platform has nothing to do with pipelines and transformations. If you are putting your workflows into production, then you need to consider how you are going to implement data security, including access controls and auditing. Different databases and storage systems all have their own method of restricting access, and they are not all compatible with each other.
