A Parent That Dies

I was seven years old when Bobby Kennedy was killed Martin Luther King and not unlike your own connection to the Kennedy story. I remember it was the first time I ever really began to understand about what it meant to be socially just. My dad started Legal Aid in our community. He did a lot of pro bono cases and I spent a lot of time in his office, going to the courthouse with him and just watching him. After he died, it was like somebody put their foot on the accelerator of that desire. That's what I was going to do.
