The Importance of Biogenetics
In our exploitation of natural resources, we are borrowing from the future. We cannot gain full mastery over our biosphere but it is in our power to derail it and disturb its balance. This is why ecologists are all the time demanding that we change radically our way of life. Every radical change can have the unintended consequence of triggering a catastrophe. The distrust was given a new impetus by today's biogenetics on the verge of a crucial breakthrough.
