I was very much anchored to children and the home. So when the home is a stage on which children learn to live, it's a way that they're socialized. My father is an oncologist and my mother helped start hospice in upstate New York. And so I think that that cycle of life in the sense that we're here briefly but what we leave behind can have an impact is something that informs the work.
