How Do Rods and Cones Work?
The centre of the eye is able to pick up detail while the rest of it can't. This is because of the density of photo receptors, which are more densely packed in the centre of vision. For rods, a group of rods will send information that gets averaged between the information in those ds. And for cones, one cone sends information to one by polar cell, and then that goes to the brain.
