Esperanto in Languages of Internationalism
In revolutionary russia, aright in 18 87, a humble jewish eye doctor named ludovic samonhof tried to start a global revolution. He launched a new international language of his own creation, and he called it esperanto. Samonov's international auxiliary language of esperanto was designed to do far more than make it possible for divers peoples to effectively communicate with one another across linguistic, ideological, national and imperial borders. Esperanto, he hoped, would allow people all over the world to better understand and to appreciate one another no matter the differences or similarities that they discovered in the process.
