Is PTO a Good Thing?

Some of your coworkers who may be overseas might still be working through things that are like national holidays. Some people like software engineers are on call during the holidays, which is crazy. So I guess it is important to keep everything in perspective. But just like you said, engineers have on call rotations and nurses also have shipped rotations. People who work at warehouses or do more labor intensive jobs may not get that day off.
