And we've constantly been told the united states doesn't have thecapacity to do these things. If at the same time we have china preparing to make a move in the south china sea, or against hiwan, that will also have enormous implications for the region. So i fear that when people talk about these things they posit a kind of smooth transition in which these countries just acquire their spheres of interest and somehow there are no victims.
