Carlin began dating a handsome sergeant named Malik Kearney. The Army transferred her to Fort Meade, home of the National Security Agency. Carlin became friends with another soldier, Marissa Manti and they decided to share a house together. On April 23, 2015, Catalaya, Vail Ramirez was born. Three months later, Carlin and Malik married in a small ceremony in South Carolina.
