The Poverty Definition
The U.S. has one of the highest poverty rates in the world, according to a new study. The report estimates that if you take away people who are wealthy and put them back together, they could bring down the number of Americans living in poverty by about 3 percentage points. That's roughly 41 million human beings or 8% of the American population.
