Are You Guys Rewriting Me?

I always saw being rewritten as a sort of rite of passage as a writer. Maybe it's my experience at Pixar where there are just so many drafts, but I was asked to do a rewrite on a project a couple years ago. And then right after that, I was brought on to another project to rewrite some other writers. They wanted a different point of view. Sometimes people will call even before they take the job. The old writer had to be a friend of mine. He was awesome. But so sometimes writer- That's where I was.
