The Origins of Mechanics
Melissa: I feel like there's only a denote of papyrus. We really, for those of you who don't, aren't nested in all of the Egyptian cult details of ancient Egyptians. So I think that more of the solid foundation of mechanics can be traced back also to the time of the great Greek philosophers such as Socrates and Hippocrates. And then some of the more modern minds like Leonardo da Vinci who really studied an extensive amount of human anatomy,. even performing dissections to better understand the musculoskeletal system. He really believed the workings of the human body were actually an analogy to the workings ofthe universe.
