The Correlation Between Earnings and Dividends
Is there any sort of correlation between earnings and dividends? Not really. A lot of people, what I've found is that if I can go through the list of upcoming dividends, going through my screening process, I can probably come up with four or five really good dividend trades every month. If they're in good, you know, bullish trend patterns, they're not going to really pull back on the dividend. It's not automatic. What'll generally happen is it'll pull back, but then the market will tell you,. You know, it will dictate the price.
