Geologists had converged on something like four great ice ages over the last million years from their evidence of the rocks being pushed around and so on. But now there's a new understanding that, in fact, er the climat is very sensitive to very small perturbations. A butterfly can caused a tornadon kansas by flapping its wings. Tas o'Mara: There's actually two things going on here - one is the size of the human population; the other is the greenhouse effect. Foquet: I'd sugjust say back what i've heard there, this sounds like a fairly big, radical reinterpretation of how the climate works.
