The Importance of Honoring Office Hours

I encourage churches to give pastor sabbaticals. Part of part of having a multi staff church is my responsibility as the senior pastor for making sure the staff are obeying office hours. So I very regularly will patrol it and say, Hey, I think you did counseling all Sunday afternoon. Okay, I'd rather you not do that. But since you do that, we do me a favor and just make sure your wife understands that you're not going to work on Monday. And then I'm coming in very often is the heavy just saying, Hey, brother, you need to ease up on this a little bit.
